Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Inspect: Before first use and after each cleaning, visually inspect the teat for any signs of damage, tears, or weakness. Discard immediately if any damage is found.
- Assemble: Gently push the base of the teat onto the neck ring of your MAM baby bottle until it is securely fitted. Ensure the teat is fully seated and not twisted.
- Fill: Prepare your baby's formula or breast milk according to instructions and fill the bottle.
- Attach: Screw the assembled neck ring with teat securely onto the bottle, ensuring a tight seal to prevent leaks.
Compatibility
- MAM Baby Bottles: These teats are specifically designed to fit all MAM baby bottles. This ensures a perfect seal and optimal performance within the MAM feeding system.
- Age Recommendation: Suitable for babies 4 months and older due to the fast flow rate.
Care
Cleaning: For your baby's safety and hygiene, always clean the teat immediately after each use.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove any milk residue.
- Wash: Wash in warm soapy water using a soft brush or sponge. Ensure all milk residue is removed, paying close attention to the flow hole.
- Sterilize: Sterilize the teats before each use for the first 6 months of your baby's life, and regularly thereafter.
- Boiling: Place teats in boiling water for 5 minutes. Do not let them touch the bottom or sides of the pot to prevent damage.
- Steam Sterilizer: Use a steam sterilizer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Microwave Sterilizer: Use a microwave sterilizer or sterilizing bags according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Cold Water Sterilization: Use a cold water sterilization solution following product guidelines.
- Dry & Store: After sterilization, allow teats to cool and dry thoroughly in a clean, hygienic area. Store in a clean, dry, and covered container.
Maintenance:
- Replace teats every 1-2 months for hygiene and safety, or sooner if they show any signs of wear, damage, or stickiness.
- Avoid storing teats in direct sunlight or near a source of heat, as this can weaken the silicone.
