Product Information

Full details

The VEVOR Rooftop Cargo Carrier (WP3020) is an ideal storage solution for road trippers, campers, and families who need to extend their vehicle's interior cargo space. It offers 11 cubic feet of secure, weather-resistant storage that mounts easily to most standard crossbar systems, making it a reliable companion for long journeys. While it significantly increases your hauling capacity up to 165 lbs, users should be aware that the rigid 70-inch shell requires adequate roof length and may influence vehicle height clearance in parking garages.

FAQs

Does this cargo box fit my specific vehicle model?

The carrier is designed for universal compatibility; as long as your vehicle has crossbars with a center-to-center distance between 29.6 and 37.1 inches, it should fit.

Can I open the box from both sides?

Yes, the VEVOR WP3020 features a dual-sided opening system for convenient access.

What is the maximum weight I can put in the carrier?

The unit is rated for a maximum load capacity of 165 lbs.

Is the box waterproof?

The hard shell construction is designed to be highly water-resistant, protecting your gear from rain and road spray during standard travel conditions.

Do I need special tools for installation?

No, the carrier comes with all necessary mounting hardware and can be installed by hand, though a second person is recommended to help lift it onto the roof.

Will this fit on my vehicle without crossbars?

No, this cargo carrier requires existing crossbar roof rack systems to mount properly.

Troubleshooting

Carrier is rattling or making noise during travel

Verify that all four mounting brackets are tightened securely and that the internal safety straps are pulled tight over your cargo to prevent shifting.

Key is difficult to insert or turn in the lock

Apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the lock core and ensure the lid is fully aligned with the base before attempting to lock.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward and requires no specialized tools. Start by positioning the carrier on your crossbars and adjusting the mounting brackets to fit your specific bar span (29.6 to 37.1 inches). Tighten all hardware securely before departing.

Ensure your crossbars are rated to carry at least the combined weight of the carrier and your cargo.

Periodically wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove road grime and debris.
Inspect the mounting hardware and internal straps every 500 miles to ensure they remain tight.
Lubricate the lock mechanism annually with a graphite-based spray to keep it operating smoothly.
