Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
This filter kit is specifically designed for Dyson vacuum cleaner models: DC19, DC20, and DC21. Please ensure your vacuum model number matches one of these before purchase.
Setup (Installation):
- Power Off: Ensure your Dyson vacuum cleaner is switched off and unplugged from the power source.
- Locate Filters: Identify the pre-motor filter (usually located near the top or cyclone assembly) and the post-motor filter (typically found at the rear of the vacuum, often near the power button or cord rewind). Consult your Dyson vacuum's manual if unsure.
- Remove Old Filters: Twist or unclip the old filters as per your Dyson model's design. Gently remove them.
- Install New Filters: Insert the new Reliapart pre-motor filter and post-motor filter into their respective housings. Ensure they are securely seated.
- Reassemble: If any parts were removed during filter access, reassemble them correctly.
- Resume Use: Plug in and switch on your vacuum cleaner.
Care:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the filters for signs of wear or excessive clogging.
- Replacement Schedule: For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the pre-motor filter every 6-12 months and the post-motor filter annually, depending on usage and household conditions.
- Cleaning (Temporary Measures): While these filters are designed for replacement, if immediate access to replacements is not available, gently tap the filters against the inside of a bin to dislodge loose dust. *Avoid washing these filters unless explicitly stated as washable by the original Dyson manufacturer, as water can damage them and void performance.*
