The Charles Watson Rock Salt is an essential winter utility for homeowners and facility managers looking to maintain safe, ice-free pathways, driveways, and car parks. Designed for high-performance de-icing, this natural white rock salt works by rapidly lowering the freezing point of water to clear stubborn snow and ice. While it is highly effective at ensuring traction and preventing slips, users should be aware that as a natural product, the texture and appearance may vary slightly between batches depending on the extraction site.

While effective, rock salt can be harsh on pet paws. It is recommended to wash your pet's paws with warm water after they walk on treated surfaces.
No, salt can dehydrate and damage plants. Avoid spreading it near lawn edges or flower beds.
The salt remains active until it is washed away by significant amounts of melted ice or heavy rain.
As a natural product, the texture and appearance reflect its origin site, which is normal for high-quality natural rock salt.
It is highly recommended to store it inside or under a waterproof cover to prevent moisture absorption and clumping.
Moisture has likely entered the bag. Break up the clumps manually with a sturdy tool or by dropping the bag gently on a hard surface before application.
Ensure the salt is in direct contact with the ice. If there is a deep layer of fresh snow, clear it away first before applying the rock salt.
To ensure the longevity of your supply, store the bags in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Moisture is the primary enemy of rock salt; if the bags are left in damp conditions, the contents may clump together, making them difficult to spread. Keep the salt away from metal tools or equipment that are prone to corrosion, as salt residue can accelerate rust. When applying, it is recommended to wear protective gloves to avoid skin irritation. Always sweep away any residual salt once the winter season has passed to protect your local drainage systems and landscape.
