The Beurer Luggage Scale - LS 20 is designed for travelers who want to avoid unexpected airline baggage fees. Its key benefit is the battery-free Dynamo power technology, offering eco-friendly operation. A minor caveat is that the display is only visible for approximately one minute after use. FAQs
How does the Dynamo power technology work?
The Dynamo power technology uses a small internal generator. When you press the button, it spins a mechanism that creates enough electricity to power the scale for a short duration, eliminating the need for batteries.
What is the maximum weight the scale can measure?
The Beurer Luggage Scale - LS 20 can measure a maximum weight of 50 kilograms (or approximately 110 pounds).
Can I switch between kilograms and pounds?
Yes, the scale allows you to switch between kilograms (kg) and pounds (lb) measurement units. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to change the unit.
How long does the display stay on?
The digital display remains visible for approximately one minute after a stable weight reading is achieved or after power generation.
Is this scale suitable for weighing parcels?
Yes, the scale is suitable for weighing parcels and other items up to its 50kg maximum capacity, in addition to luggage.
Do I need to buy batteries for this scale?
No, this scale is battery-free. It utilizes its built-in Dynamo power technology, which you activate by pressing a button.
Troubleshooting
Scale does not turn on.
Ensure you are pressing the power button firmly. If the display is still off, press and hold the button for a few seconds to generate sufficient power.
Inaccurate weight reading.
Ensure the bag is hanging freely and not touching the ground. Check that the scale's strap is securely attached. Try re-generating power and weighing again. Make sure the unit (kg/lb) is set correctly.
Display shows 'Err' or 'O-Ld'.
This indicates the weight exceeds the scale's maximum capacity of 50kg. Remove some items from the luggage to reduce the weight.
Strap feels loose or worn.
Inspect the strap for any signs of wear and tear. If damaged, do not use the scale for safety reasons. Replacement straps are not typically available; consider purchasing a new scale.
