Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this zip, it is highly recommended to use an invisible zipper foot, which allows the needle to stitch close enough to the teeth to conceal them properly. Always ensure the fabric is stabilized with lightweight interfacing if working with delicate silks or rayons to prevent puckering. To shorten the zip, simply measure to your desired length, mark the point, and stitch a new bar tack across the coils several times using your machine's zigzag stitch before cutting off the excess. When ironing garments with this zip, use a pressing cloth and avoid high heat directly on the nylon teeth to prevent melting or distortion.
