The Stanley Imperial Adjustable QUICKSQUARE is designed for professional carpenters, roofers, and serious DIY enthusiasts who require precision, versatility, and durability in a single layout tool. Its key benefit is the adjustable arm, which allows for repeatable angle marking and seamless transitions between tasks like sawing, measuring, and checking plumb cuts. However, users should be aware that the added complexity of the adjustable mechanism requires periodic inspection to ensure it remains tight and calibrated for high-precision work.

Yes, it provides all the functionality of a traditional rafter square while adding the convenience of an adjustable protractor arm.
Yes, its durable edge is designed to withstand contact with circular saw blades, allowing for straight, guided cross-cuts.
The markings are recessed into the material, which offers better durability than standard printed or laser-etched surface markings.
Yes, though the adjustable features provide advanced utility, the tool is straightforward to use for anyone learning the basics of carpentry.
Ensure the locking knob is fully tightened; if it remains loose, check for any obstruction in the pivot point and clean the joint.
Use a soft brush or a dry cloth to clear dust from the recessed markings; for stubborn grime, use a light solvent and wipe clean.
Loosen the locking knob, reset the angle against a verified reference (like a digital protractor or a known 90-degree square), and re-tighten the lock.
To set up the square, loosen the locking knob on the adjustable arm, align the scale with your required angle, and tighten the knob firmly to prevent slippage during use. It is compatible with all standard circular saws and marking implements like carpenters' pencils or scribe tools. To ensure the longevity of the tool, wipe it down with a dry cloth after use to remove wood dust and debris. Periodically check the tension of the adjustment screw; if the arm becomes loose, tighten the locking mechanism to maintain accuracy. Store the square in a dry toolbox or hang it on a wall rack to prevent the edge from bending or becoming damaged by other heavy power tools.
