The Jacobi Jayne Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder is an ideal solution for garden enthusiasts who want to feed small birds without dealing with squirrels or larger nuisance species. By utilizing weight-sensitive spring-loaded technology, it effectively safeguards mixed seeds and blends, ensuring your supplies last longer and go to the intended avian visitors. While it is highly effective at managing pests, users should note that the feeder requires careful positioning away from launch points to ensure the weight-sensitive mechanism functions as intended.

It is recommended to clean the feeder every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if the weather has been very wet.
The weight-sensitive mechanism is designed to close under the weight of larger birds, helping to deter pigeons and doves.
Yes, it is finished in a durable green coating that is designed to withstand typical UK weather conditions.
No, the feeder is designed to be disassembled and reassembled by hand without the need for tools.
The model number for this specific green squirrel-proof feeder is SB-1057.
The weight-sensitivity setting may be too low; adjust the spring tension to allow the ports to remain open for lighter birds.
Check that the feeder is not positioned too close to a tree or fence; if a squirrel can reach the feeder without putting its full weight on the perch, the shroud will not close.
Debris or old, damp seed may be causing friction. Clean the feeder thoroughly and ensure no sticky residue remains on the sliding shroud.
Setting up your feeder is straightforward: ensure it is suspended from a sturdy hook or feeder pole at a height that is easy for you to reach for refilling. Compatibility is best with standard garden seed mixes; avoid using seed containing large, hard shells that might jam the mechanism. To care for your feeder, disassemble it once every few weeks for a thorough cleaning. Simply slide the components apart, wash with warm, soapy water, and ensure all parts are completely dry before refilling to prevent mold growth on the seeds.
