Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Surface Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly with a degreaser and allow it to dry completely. The surface should be smooth and free of dust, grease, and moisture.
- Cutting: Measure and cut the MIKA 3 trunking to the required length using a saw or utility knife. Be sure to cut cleanly.
- Adhesive Application: Peel off the backing from the adhesive and carefully apply the trunking to the prepared surface. Press firmly along the entire length to ensure good adhesion.
- Cable Insertion: Once the trunking is in place, gently insert the cables, ensuring they are not pinched or overfilled.
Compatibility
The MIKA 3 is compatible with a wide range of cables, including power cords, network cables (Cat5e, Cat6), and AV cables. Ensure that the cables fit comfortably within the trunking to prevent damage. The self-adhesive backing is designed for use on smooth, clean surfaces such as painted walls, wood, and plastic.
Care
To clean, use a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the trunking material or weaken the adhesive.
