FAQs
What is the difference between CFexpress Type B SE MK2 and other CFexpress cards?
The SE MK2 variant leverages CFexpress 4.0 Type B technology for higher performance and reliability, featuring enhanced sustained write speeds and data protection mechanisms like Stable Stream and Host Power Loss Protection, specifically designed for demanding professional workflows.
Can I use this card in a CFast 2.0 slot?
No, CFexpress Type B and CFast 2.0 are different physical and electrical standards. This card will not fit or function in a CFast 2.0 slot.
What is Stable Stream technology?
Stable Stream is Angelbird's technology that ensures a minimum sustained write performance across the entire capacity of the card, preventing performance drops during long recordings or intensive data transfers.
How do I format the Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress B SE MK2?
It is best to format the card directly in the camera or device you intend to use it with. This ensures optimal compatibility and performance. You can also format it using your computer's disk utility, but reformatting in the host device is recommended.
What is the warranty for this card?
Angelbird typically offers a limited warranty for their professional storage media. Please refer to the official Angelbird website or product documentation for the most accurate and up-to-date warranty information.
What kind of data can this card reliably capture?
This card is ideal for capturing high-resolution video formats, including 12K+ RAW, high-bitrate codecs, and high-resolution RAW photography, thanks to its sustained write speeds and Stable Stream technology.
Troubleshooting
Card not recognized by camera/computer
Ensure the card is properly seated in the slot. Try formatting the card in the host device. Test with a different CFexpress B reader or camera if possible.
Slow transfer speeds
Verify that your computer's card reader and USB port (if applicable) support CFexpress 4.0 speeds. Ensure the card is formatted correctly. Check for any background processes consuming system resources.
Camera reports 'Write Error' or 'Buffer Full'
Confirm that your camera's firmware is up-to-date and set to record in a format compatible with the card's sustained write speeds. Ensure the card is properly formatted.
Data corruption or unreadable files
Immediately stop using the card and attempt data recovery if critical. Ensure proper ejection procedures are always followed. Contact Angelbird support if the issue persists.
