Full details
The Laburnum Vossii, often called the Golden Rain tree, is an ideal choice for gardeners and landscapers looking to add architectural height and a striking floral spectacle to their outdoor space. This three-pack of 6-7 foot specimens offers immediate impact with its iconic, long, golden-yellow pendulous racemes that bloom in late spring and early summer; however, gardeners should note that all parts of the Laburnum tree are toxic if ingested, making them unsuitable for areas accessible to small children or grazing pets.

FAQs
Are these trees safe for dogs?
No, all parts of the Laburnum tree are toxic to humans and animals. Please plant them in a secure area.
When is the best time to plant them?
The best time to plant is in late autumn or early spring while the tree is dormant.
How wide do these trees grow?
Laburnum Vossii generally maintains a slender, upright habit but will spread gracefully over time; allow at least 3-4 meters between trees if planting in a line.
Do I need to stake the trees?
Yes, for the first two years, it is recommended to use a tree stake to prevent wind rock while the root system develops.
Can they be grown in pots?
While they can be kept in very large containers initially, they are best suited for open ground to allow for proper root development.
Troubleshooting
Poor flowering in late spring
Ensure the tree is receiving full sun exposure; lack of light is the primary cause of reduced blooming.
Yellowing or dropping leaves during summer
This may be due to waterlogged soil; verify that the drainage is adequate and reduce watering if the soil remains constantly saturated.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Planting: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Ensure the tree is planted at the same depth it was in the nursery pot.
- Soil Conditions: These trees require well-drained soil. If your garden has heavy clay, incorporate organic matter or grit to improve drainage.
- Sunlight: Choose a site that receives full, direct sunlight for the majority of the day to ensure a prolific bloom the following spring.
- Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish the root system. Once established, they are reasonably resilient, but benefit from watering during prolonged dry spells.
- Maintenance: Minimal pruning is required, but you may remove dead or crossing branches in late winter to maintain the tree's shape.
- Safety: Always wear gloves when handling or pruning, and ensure all plant waste is disposed of safely away from pets and livestock.
