FAQs
Is this cushion suitable for any garden swing seat?
This cushion is specifically designed to fit Alfresia garden swing seat frames. It is essential to measure your existing swing seat and compare it to the dimensions provided (Width: 56cm/53.5cm, Seat Depth: 51cm, Thickness: 8.5cm, Back Length: 57cm, Valance: 15cm/14cm) to ensure compatibility.
How do I clean the cushion?
For general cleaning, use a damp cloth to wipe away dirt and spills. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the fabric.
What does 'water-resistant' mean for this cushion?
The 100% polyester shell is treated to repel water, meaning light rain or splashes will bead up and can be wiped away. However, it is not fully waterproof, and prolonged exposure to heavy rain may cause the cushion to become saturated. It is recommended to store the cushion indoors during heavy or extended wet periods.
Does this product come with the swing seat frame?
No, this product is a replacement cushion designed to fit Alfresia garden swing seats. The swing seat frame is not included.
What is included with the cushion?
The product includes the main seat and back cushion, a built-in valance, and a matching blown fibre filled scatter cushion. Ties are also included for securing the cushion to the frame.
Can I leave the cushion outside all year round?
While the water-resistant material offers protection, it is recommended to store the cushion indoors during prolonged periods of wet weather or the winter months to maintain its condition and longevity.
Where are the cushions made?
The cushions are filled and packed in factories located in Greater Manchester.
Troubleshooting
Cushion does not fit the swing seat properly.
Double-check the measurements of your swing seat against the product dimensions provided. This cushion is designed for specific Alfresia frames and may not fit universal sizes. Ensure you have ordered the correct replacement model.
Cushion appears to be absorbing water.
While the polyester shell is water-resistant, prolonged exposure to heavy rain can lead to saturation. Store cushions indoors during inclement weather or when not in use for extended periods. Allow cushions to air dry completely before storing.
Ties for securing the cushion are too short.
Ensure the ties are being threaded through the intended loops or points on your swing seat frame. If the frame design differs significantly, consider using additional tie-downs or Velcro straps (not included) for a more secure fit.
Color fade after outdoor exposure.
Although designed for outdoor use, prolonged direct sunlight can cause fading over time. Rotating the cushions or storing them out of direct sunlight when not in use can help preserve the color.
