Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect the transmitter unit to the USB Type C port on your host computer.
- Connect the receiver unit to your USB peripheral device (e.g., printer, keyboard, external drive).
- Connect the transmitter and receiver units using a Cat.5e or Cat.6 network cable (not included).
- If additional power is required for the USB device, connect the included AC adapter to the receiver unit and plug it into a power outlet.
- The connection is Plug & Play, and your USB device should be recognized by your operating system automatically.
Compatibility:
- Host: USB Type C ports.
- Peripherals: USB 2.0 High Speed, USB 1.1 Full Speed, and Low Speed devices such as storage devices, printers, scanners, mice, and keyboards.
- Network Cable: Cat.5e or Cat.6 solid core patch cables are recommended for best performance.
- Operating Systems: OS independent (Windows, macOS, Linux, etc.).
Note: This extender might not support USB devices requiring high bandwidths, such as FullHD webcams.
Care:
- Keep the units clean and free from dust. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.
- Operate within the specified temperature (0-40°C) and humidity (0-80%) ranges.
- Store in a cool, dry place (-10-60°C) when not in use.
