Setup
- Plug one powerline adapter into a power outlet near your router and connect it to your router using an Ethernet cable.
- Plug the second powerline adapter (the Wi-Fi extender) into a power outlet in the area where you want to extend your Wi-Fi coverage.
- Press the Wi-Fi Clone button on the extender to copy your router's Wi-Fi settings (SSID and password).
- Wait for the devices to connect. The powerline and Wi-Fi indicator lights should illuminate, indicating a successful connection.
Compatibility
The TP-Link Powerline Wi-Fi Extender Starter Kit is compatible with:
- IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u standards.
- Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems
Care
- Placement: Ensure the adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets and not power strips or surge protectors, as this can affect performance.
- Ventilation: Do not block the vents on the adapters.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners.
