Ensure the area around the adjustment mechanism is clean and free from debris. Use the correct tool for adjustment and do not force it. If persistent, check for obstructions within the gearbox or frame.
Locking mechanism feels stiff or noisy.
Check for any debris or misalignment at the locking points. Lubricate the moving parts sparingly with a silicone-based lubricant suitable for window hardware. Ensure the extension rod is correctly seated in the gearbox.
Window does not lock securely.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This extension rod is designed to integrate with the MACO MK1 Shootbolt Espagnolette system. It connects to the central gearbox via a robust serrated connection. Ensure the chosen faceplate length and extension rod length are appropriate for the specific window size and locking mechanism. The bolt throw can be adjusted between 10mm and 13mm using appropriate tools to achieve a secure lock engagement.
Compatibility: Primarily designed for use with the MACO MK1 central gearbox and espagnolette system. It fits the standard eurogroove found on most modern uPVC and timber windows. Compatibility with other manufacturers' hardware is not guaranteed.
Care: The Silverlook-Evo coating provides excellent weather resistance. For routine cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which could damage the coating. Periodically check that the moving parts are free from debris to maintain optimal function.
