FAQs

What is the recommended age for this kit?

This set is designed for children who are ready to engage with mechanical concepts, typically ages 8 and up.

Is a battery required for the models?

No, this is a purely mechanical kit that relies on gears, levers, and human interaction for movement.

Can I build both models at the same time?

No, the kit contains enough parts to build one model at a time. You must disassemble one to create the other.

Does the app require an internet connection?

An internet connection is required to download the app, but many of the 3D features can be used offline once the content is loaded.

What should I do if a piece is missing?

Contact Clementoni customer support via their official website with the set's MPN (75159) to request specific replacement parts.

Troubleshooting

Steering feels stiff or does not turn smoothly

Check that the gear alignment is flush and that no plastic burrs are interfering with the gear teeth.

Tipping bed does not lock securely

Verify that the pivot pins are fully inserted and that the locking lever is seated correctly in the designated notch.

Confused by a specific connection step

Open the 3D app and rotate the model to view the connection from different angles to ensure the correct orientation of the parts.

Pros and Cons

Functional mechanical components like steering and hydraulics
Promotes STEM learning and fine motor skills
Clear, high-quality illustrated instructions

Cons

Requires significant workspace to manage small parts
Assembly can be challenging for younger children without supervision
Storing pieces between builds requires extra organization
Not compatible with other major building brick systems

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, ensure you have a flat, well-lit surface to sort the components by size and function before assembly. Download the companion app on a tablet or smartphone to take advantage of the 3D rotating instructions, which are particularly helpful for orienting complex gears. Compatibility is limited to this specific series; do not mix these specialized mechanical parts with standard generic building blocks to ensure the gears and connectors function as intended. For care, keep the set in a dry, cool area. If the parts become dusty, wipe them with a dry, lint-free cloth; avoid using water or household chemicals that might degrade the specialized plastic surfaces.
