FAQs

Is the Roamer Toscana waterproof?

While the watch is built for durability, it is designed for everyday wear. Avoid submerging it in water unless specified by your particular sub-model's depth rating.

What is the material of the crystal?

The Toscana uses sapphire glass, which is highly resistant to scratches and features an anti-reflective coating for clarity.

How do I clean the watch strap?

Cleaning depends on the strap material (e.g., leather or stainless steel). Please consult the specific care instructions for the strap type attached to your watch.

Does the watch require batteries?

As a traditional Swiss-made timepiece, most Toscana models use mechanical or automatic movements and do not require standard batteries.

Can I replace the strap?

Yes, the lugs are designed to accommodate standard strap replacements. We recommend visiting a professional jeweler to avoid scratching the case during replacement.

Troubleshooting

Watch has stopped running

If it is an automatic model, ensure it has been worn or wound sufficiently. If it remains stopped, consult a professional watchmaker.

Visible smudges on the sapphire glass

Use a specialized microfiber cloth to gently buff the surface; avoid using abrasive chemicals.

Time is running slow or fast

Mechanical watches may require a regulation adjustment if they consistently lose or gain more than the manufacturer's specified tolerance.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality anti-reflective sapphire glass
Sophisticated and timeless black dial aesthetic
Reliable Swiss-made internal movement
Durable construction suitable for daily wear

Cons

42mm size may be large for smaller wrists
Black dials can show dust and smudges more readily
Requires professional servicing to maintain water resistance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Roamer Toscana stays in pristine condition:

Setting the Time: Gently pull the crown to the second click and rotate to adjust the hands.
Maintenance: Have the watch inspected by an authorized service center every 3-5 years to ensure the seals are intact and the movement is lubricated.
Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to wipe the sapphire glass and case. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap, but ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.
Storage: Keep the timepiece in a cool, dry place away from magnetic fields, such as speakers or high-powered electronics, which can affect mechanical accuracy.
