The VEATON Electric Submersible Water Pump - 400W is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts who need an efficient way to remove unwanted water from basements, flooded areas, or water tanks. Its key benefit is powerful performance with a 400W motor capable of handling significant water volumes and lifting it to considerable heights. A potential caveat is that it is designed for clean water containing solids smaller than 5 mm, so it's not suitable for heavily soiled environments.

This pump is designed for clean water and can handle solids smaller than 5 mm in diameter.
In manual mode, the pump will run continuously until manually turned off. It has thermal protection to prevent burnout, but continuous operation without monitoring can still pose a risk if the motor overheats or becomes obstructed. Always ensure power is cut off when not in use or when draining to the lowest possible level.
The pump can be submerged up to a depth of 7 meters.
The pump includes connectors for 1", G 1", and 1-1/4" discharge hoses.
The mode is controlled by the float switch. For automatic operation, adjust the cable length to set the water level trigger point. For manual operation, detach the float switch and attach it to the side slot on the pump.
The pump is capable of lifting water to a maximum vertical height of 8 meters.
First, check the power connection and ensure the outlet is functional. If the pump has recently shut off, it may have activated its thermal protection; allow it to cool down for 30 minutes before attempting to restart.
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the float switch is in the 'on' position for automatic mode or if the pump is correctly set up for manual operation. Verify that the thermal overload protector has not been triggered; if so, allow the pump to cool down before restarting.
Check the discharge hose for kinks or blockages. Ensure the pump's intake screen is clear of debris. Verify that the water level is sufficient for the pump to operate and that the lift height does not exceed the pump's capacity (8 meters).
This may indicate the thermal overload protector has been activated due to overheating or a blockage. Allow the pump to cool down for at least 30 minutes. Check for and clear any obstructions in the impeller or discharge hose.
Ensure the float switch is moving freely and is not obstructed by debris or the pump's position. If in manual mode, confirm the float switch is securely attached to the side slot. Check the cable for any damage.
