Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: This 128GB DDR4 LRDIMM is primarily designed for server and high-end workstation environments. Always consult your system's motherboard manual or manufacturer specifications to confirm compatibility with LRDIMMs, specific DDR4 speeds, and maximum supported memory configurations. Ensure your CPU also supports the memory type and speed.
Setup:
- Power Down: Completely shut down your system and disconnect the power cable.
- Ground Yourself: Use an anti-static wrist strap to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Locate Slot: Identify the correct DIMM slot on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for correct placement, especially when installing multiple modules.
- Install Module: Carefully align the notch on the module with the notch in the DIMM slot. Gently push down on both ends of the module until the retaining clips snap into place.
- Verify Installation: Ensure the module is fully seated and the clips are secure.
- Power Up: Reconnect power and boot your system. Check the BIOS or system information to confirm the new memory is recognized.
Care:
- Handle memory modules only by their edges to avoid touching the gold contacts or components.
- Store modules in anti-static packaging when not in use.
- Keep the environment clean and free from dust and moisture.
