Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Application Tips
- Skin Preparation: For best results, ensure your skin is clean, well-moisturized, and if desired, primed before application. This creates a smooth canvas for the concealer to adhere to.
- Shade Selection: The `Shortbread` shade is designed for specific skin undertones. When selecting, consider your skin's undertone (cool, warm, neutral) and choose a shade that either matches your foundation perfectly for spot concealing, or one shade lighter for brightening under the eyes. If unsure, test a small amount on your jawline in natural light.
- Blending Tools: Use a damp beauty sponge, a dedicated concealer brush, or your clean fingertips for blending. Dabbing or patting motions are typically more effective for coverage than swiping, as they press the product into the skin.
- Layering: While this concealer offers `super coverage`, if extremely stubborn imperfections remain, allow the first thin layer to set slightly before applying a second, even thinner layer. Build coverage gradually.
Compatibility
This concealer is generally compatible with most liquid, cream, and powder foundations, primers, and setting powders. For optimal results, consider pairing it with other Too Faced products designed to work synergistically. It is suitable for most skin types due to its smooth finish, but individuals with extremely dry skin should ensure thorough moisturization beforehand to prevent accentuating dry patches.
Care & Storage
- Hygiene: To maintain product integrity and prevent bacterial growth, avoid directly touching the applicator to blemishes or other skin concerns, then reinserting it into the tube. Instead, dispense a small amount onto a clean surface (e.g., the back of your hand or a mixing palette) and apply with a clean brush or sponge.
- Storage: Store the concealer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the cap is securely tightened after each use to prevent the product from drying out and to maintain its consistency.
- Shelf Life: Most makeup products have a PAO (Period After Opening) symbol (e.g., 6M or 12M). Adhere to this guideline for best performance, safety, and hygiene. Discard after the recommended period.
