FAQs

Is the tap included with the Nuie Arno vanity unit?

No, the basin tap is sold separately. The unit features one tap hole, offering flexibility in your choice of tap.

What type of waste fitting is required?

A suitable waste fitting for a basin with an overflow is required. This is also sold separately. A waste shroud is included for neatness.

Does the vanity unit come assembled?

The main furniture unit is supplied rigid and pre-assembled for easier installation. The basin may require fitting to the unit.

What is the material of the vanity unit?

The vanity unit is constructed from high-quality Mixed Core Fibreboard (MFC) with an 18mm thick MDF painted gloss fascia.

What are the dimensions of the vanity unit?

The vanity unit has approximate dimensions of H: 818mm x W: 600mm x D: 390mm.

How do I clean the gloss white finish?

Clean the gloss white finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to prevent scratching.

What is the warranty period for this product?

Can I use a wall-mounted tap with this unit?

Troubleshooting

Unit is not level

Ensure the floor surface is even. Adjust the unit's position or consider using shims to stabilize it if the floor is uneven.

Drawers are sticking or not closing smoothly

Check for any obstructions within the drawer runners. Ensure no items stored inside are preventing full closure. Do not force the drawers; the soft-close mechanism should operate with minimal resistance.

Tap is not compatible with the basin

Verify that the tap chosen has a single-hole base and fits the standard UK plumbing requirements. Consult the tap manufacturer's specifications and the vanity unit's line drawing for exact measurements.

Basin has a slow drain

Ensure the waste fitting is correctly installed and not obstructed. Check that the waste pipe connected to the unit is clear and has adequate fall.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Elegant gloss white finish enhances bathroom aesthetics.
  • Soft-close drawers provide quiet and smooth operation.
  • Generous storage capacity keeps bathrooms tidy.
  • Durable MFC construction ensures long-lasting use.
  • Versatile 1 tap hole design allows for custom tap selection.
  • Modern design complements contemporary bathroom styles.

Cons

  • Taps and waste fittings are sold separately.
  • Requires assembly of the basin to the unit (though the unit itself is supplied rigid).
  • As a floor-standing unit, it occupies floor space which might be a consideration in very small bathrooms.
  • Gloss finish may show water spots or smudges if not wiped regularly.
  • Limited to a single tap hole, restricting certain mixer tap configurations.
  • Product weight of 36.76kg requires careful handling during installation.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Nuie Arno vanity unit is supplied rigid, meaning the main furniture unit is pre-assembled for easier installation. However, the ceramic basin may require attachment to the unit, and plumbing connections must be made. Always ensure the unit is placed on a level surface.

Compatibility: The unit features a single, central tap hole, making it compatible with most standard single-hole basin taps. Please note that basin taps, waste fittings, and bottle traps are sold separately and must be chosen to fit the 1 tap hole configuration and your plumbing system. Ensure your chosen tap has a suitable reach to fit comfortably over the basin.

Care: To maintain the gloss white finish, clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. For the ceramic basin, use a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Wipe up any spills or water droplets promptly to prevent water marks. The soft-close mechanism requires no specific maintenance but should be operated gently.
