The U.S. Solid water leakage detector system is an essential safety solution for homeowners and facility managers looking to prevent catastrophic water damage from burst pipes or plumbing failures. By combining a central controller, a motorized ball valve, and multiple long-range moisture sensors, the unit provides automated protection that shuts off the water supply the moment a leak is detected. While it offers robust, long-term reliability with an IP65 rating, users should note that initial installation requires basic plumbing knowledge to integrate the ball valve into existing water lines effectively.

The sensors come with 19.69-foot cables, which is usually sufficient for most home applications. Extending these cables may affect sensitivity and is not recommended.
The motorized valve typically stays in its last commanded position. Check your local building codes regarding fail-safe requirements for water shut-off valves.
The unit has an IP65 rating, which protects against water jets, but it should ideally be protected from extreme freezing temperatures which could damage the valve body.
Once the area is dried and the source of the leak is repaired, follow the manufacturer's reset procedure on the central controller to open the valve again.
The system is designed to work with the provided sensor configuration. Please consult the product manual before attempting to add unauthorized third-party sensors.
Ensure the sensor contacts are dry and free of conductive debris like dust or metallic particles.
Check all electrical connections between the sensor, the controller, and the motorized valve power supply.
Verify the controller is connected to a stable power outlet and the alarm volume is set correctly.
Installation of the USS-LDV00005 involves two primary steps: mounting the motorized valve into your main water line and positioning the sensors. Ensure the ball valve is installed in a location where the manual override can be accessed if needed. Once the plumbing is secure, connect the sensors to the central controller and mount the controller in a dry, accessible area. Maintenance is minimal; periodically test the system by placing the sensor in a small amount of water to ensure the valve triggers as expected. Keep the sensor contacts clean and free of debris to maintain detection sensitivity.
