Troubleshooting
Trick is not working as described
Re-read the instruction booklet carefully to ensure you are not missing a specific angle or hand movement required for the effect.
Props are slipping during performance
Ensure your hands are clean and dry; if performing with the silk cloth, ensure it is properly folded as instructed to maintain the trick's integrity.
Difficulty mastering a specific trick
Practice the move slowly in front of a mirror or have a parent record a video to identify where the 'secret' is being exposed.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Encourages development of confidence and showmanship
- High variety of tricks for the price point
- Durable construction suitable for frequent practice
- Completely battery-free and analog experience
Cons
- Small parts may be easily misplaced if not organized
- Requires significant adult guidance for children under seven
- Limited storage space for additional non-included props
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup is straightforward: clear a flat, stable surface for performing. No assembly of the props is required, though some tricks benefit from initial practice in front of a mirror to ensure the 'secret' remains hidden. For care, wipe down the plastic props with a damp cloth if they become dusty, and store all items back in the shoebox container after each session to prevent losing the smaller pieces like the magic die. Ensure that the silk cloth is kept away from sharp objects to prevent tearing, and keep foam components dry to maintain their shape.
