No, the threads and design are specifically engineered for the RidgeMonkey MarkaPole ecosystem.
What is the total length provided by this kit?
The kit includes one 1m, one 0.5m, one 0.3m, and one 0.2m pole, totaling 2 meters of extension capacity.
Is the material waterproof?
Yes, the PVC construction is designed for permanent exposure to water.
How should I store the poles when not in use?

Are these poles buoyant?

Troubleshooting
Pole sections feel loose when connected
Check the threads for dirt or debris and clean them; ensure the connection is tightened firmly by hand.
Difficulty threading the extension
Back the extension out completely and re-align it squarely with the socket to avoid cross-threading.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-quality, durable PVC construction
- Excellent modularity with other RidgeMonkey accessories
- Variety of extension lengths allows for fine-tuned depth measurement
- Registered design ensures a secure fit between sections
Cons
- Not a standalone product; requires base kit
- Requires careful storage to avoid bending or cracking
- Additional weight can affect transport if many extensions are used
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your extension, simply thread the male connector of the extension pole into the female socket of the existing MarkaPole stack. Ensure the threads are aligned correctly before tightening to prevent cross-threading. The kit is fully compatible with all RidgeMonkey MarkaPole, ReflectaStem, and MarkaLite products. For care, it is recommended to rinse the poles with fresh water after use in salt or silty water to prevent debris build-up in the threads. Store in a dry, shaded area to maintain the integrity of the PVC material over time.
