Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Mini Maglite LED Flashlight typically comes ready for use. To begin, ensure you have the correct battery type inserted. For this model, it usually requires two AA alkaline batteries. Remove the tail cap, insert the batteries with the positive (+) end facing the light source (towards the head of the flashlight), and then screw the tail cap back on securely. To turn the flashlight on, press the button on the tail cap. Adjust the beam by rotating the head of the flashlight counter-clockwise to widen the beam (flood) and clockwise to narrow it (spot).
Compatibility: This flashlight is designed to use standard AA alkaline batteries. While rechargeable AA batteries can often be used, performance may vary, and it's best to consult the manufacturer's recommendations for optimal results.
Care: To maintain your Mini Maglite LED Flashlight:
- Keep the lens clean by wiping it gently with a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure the battery contacts are clean. If there is corrosion, gently clean them with a pencil eraser or a cotton swab dipped in a mild cleaner.
- Store the flashlight in a dry place. If storing for an extended period, it's advisable to remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Periodically check the O-ring seal on the head and tail cap to ensure it's lubricated and intact for water resistance.
