The magnet is integrated into the design for durability; you should not attempt to remove it.
Ensure the surface is clean of heavy grease or debris, or reduce the weight of the hardware inside the bowl.
Verify that the mounting surface is ferrous metal; the magnet will not stick to aluminum, plastic, or fiberglass.
Use a piece of duct tape to pull the accumulated metal dust off the rubberized surface.
This bowl requires no assembly and is ready for use immediately out of the box. To achieve the best performance, ensure the surface you are attaching the magnet to is made of ferrous metal (iron or steel). Care is straightforward: wipe the bowl down with a clean, dry rag to remove oil, grease, or metal shavings. If the magnet accumulates metallic dust over time, simply use a piece of tape or a strong magnet to pull the debris away from the rubber coating to maintain maximum surface grip.
