Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, simply place your spare master links onto the magnetic tabs on the inner face of the tool. The tool is compatible with a wide range of chain speeds (9 through 12-speed). For routine care, keep the hinge of the pliers clean and lightly lubricated to ensure the mechanism remains fluid. Ensure the tool is kept dry when stored for long periods to maintain the integrity of the finish. Avoid using the tire lever component on carbon fiber rims to prevent chipping or scratching, and always check that your chain link type matches the compatibility requirements (SRAM, Shimano, or KMC).
