FAQs

Can these be used as a standalone fence?

These are designed as decorative trellis panels for supporting plants and should be attached to a secondary structure for stability.

What is the total height of the panels?

Each individual panel measures 120cm in height.

Are these treated against rot?

They are made from natural willow. While durable, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with soil to maximize longevity.

Can I trim the panels to fit a smaller space?

Trimming is not recommended as it may compromise the integrity of the woven lattice frame.

Are mounting screws included?

No, mounting hardware is not included as the required fixings depend on the surface you are attaching them to.

Troubleshooting

Panel feels unstable against a flat wall

Ensure you are using at least four mounting points, one in each corner, to distribute the weight evenly.

Willow fibers fraying over time

Gently trim loose fibers with garden shears and consider a light application of protective outdoor wood oil.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Adds natural, rustic aesthetic to any outdoor space
Provides essential structural support for climbing plants
Simple and quick installation process
Versatile use on walls, fences, or in planters
Environmentally friendly natural material

Cons

Willow is a natural material that may weather over time
Not suitable for heavy-duty load-bearing beyond climbing plants
Standard size may not fit all custom-built garden structures

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, simply align the panel against your desired surface—such as a wooden fence or a large planter—and secure it using screws, wire, or ties at the top and bottom support points. These panels are compatible with most standard wooden garden structures and deep-root containers. For care, keep the trellis clear of debris and excessive moisture pooling. If placed in direct, harsh sunlight for many years, applying a light coat of garden-safe wood preservative or clear outdoor oil can help maintain the willow's structural integrity and prevent brittle fibers from developing.
