Full details
Pisces Alfagrog Biological Filter Media is a highly effective bio-media made of hardened ceramic materials. It is lightweight, economical, and highly porous, inert, and pH neutral. This filter media can be used in pond filters and aquariums, increasing surface area for beneficial bacteria growth. Its highly active biological surface area allows for efficient reduction of lethal nitrite and ammonia in pond or aquarium water. Beneficial bacteria can colonize and cultivate on high surface areas, vital for modern filtration systems to provide clear and healthy water. Alfagrog is the media of choice for most professional pond keepers, as these porous ceramic media stones encourage bacteria growth, resulting in clear and healthy water. Simply add to the media section of any Pond Filter or Aquarium Filter.
