Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires standard woodworking tools, including a circular saw or miter saw for trimming to length. Use stainless steel, composite-decking-rated screws to fasten the boards to your subframe, ensuring you do not overtighten, which can cause cracking at the screw points.
For care and maintenance, the mineral composite material is resistant to common deck issues like moisture absorption and mold growth. Simply rinse with water and a mild detergent during your annual deck cleaning. Avoid using harsh chemical strippers or abrasive stiff-bristle brushes that could mar the surface texture of the Sierra finish.
