Product Information

Full details

The TensCare Pointra is a handheld acupuncture-point stimulator designed for individuals seeking a drug-free, non-invasive way to manage localized muscle tension and chronic aches. By delivering precise electrical impulses to targeted pressure points, it stimulates the body's natural pain-relief mechanisms without the need for needles, gels, or adhesive pads; however, users should note that the device requires some familiarity with basic acupuncture point locations for optimal effectiveness.

FAQs

Does the Pointra require conductive gel?

No, the Pointra is designed to work without gels or pads.

Can I use this for full-back pain relief?

The Pointra is designed for localized point stimulation; for large areas like the back, a traditional TENS machine with pads is usually more effective.

Is it safe to use on my face?

Please consult the user manual for specific location restrictions; generally, avoid sensitive areas like the eyes or throat.

How often can I use the device?

You can use the device as needed for pain relief, but do not exceed the usage guidelines provided in the manual.

Is this a TENS unit?

It is an acupuncture-point stimulator that uses similar electrical principles to a TENS unit but is designed specifically for point-based targeting rather than nerve stimulation through pads.

Who should avoid using this device?

Individuals with pacemakers, those who are pregnant, or anyone with a known heart condition should consult a doctor before use.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin using the Pointra, ensure the battery is installed according to the manual. Because this device does not use electrode pads, there is no setup for cords or skin preparation. To care for the device, keep the contact tip clean by wiping it with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each use to prevent residue buildup. Do not submerge the unit in water. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Always check the battery levels periodically to ensure the device maintains consistent impulse strength.
