FAQs

What are the dimensions of this shade?

The shade measures 15cm in height and 20cm in diameter.

Will this fit a standard floor lamp?

Due to its compact 20cm diameter, this shade is specifically designed for table lamps and may look out of proportion on large floor lamps.

Is the interior really silver?

Yes, the shade features a silver inner lining which provides a subtle contrast to the cream outer fabric.

How do I clean the shade if it gets marked?

Use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution, but avoid soaking the fabric to prevent water staining.

Can I use this with a high-wattage incandescent bulb?

It is highly recommended to use LED bulbs to prevent excess heat buildup near the shade material.

Troubleshooting

Shade appears crooked on the lamp base

Check the alignment of the lamp shade carrier; ensure the shade is pushed down fully and evenly onto the fitting.

Visible dust on the fabric

Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the exterior in a circular motion, or use a soft-bristled lint roller.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward: ensure your lamp base has a standard shade carrier or spider fitting that accommodates a 20cm diameter shade. When setting up, simply align the fitter and secure it according to your lamp base instructions. To maintain the appearance of the cream shade, avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges. Dusting the exterior gently with a dry, microfiber cloth on a weekly basis will prevent dust buildup and preserve the soft finish. Keep the shade away from direct, high-heat sources to prevent material degradation over time.
