Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: No specific setup is required. Ensure the brush is clean and dry before first use. For optimal performance, lightly flick the bristles to remove any loose fibers.
Compatibility: This brush is compatible with all types of paint, including water-based, oil-based, varnishes, and lacquers.
Care:
- Cleaning After Use:
- For water-based paints: Rinse immediately with warm water, working the paint out of the bristles. Follow with mild soap and rinse thoroughly.
- For oil-based paints or varnishes: Use the appropriate mineral spirits or turpentine to thin the paint in the bristles. Rinse with detergent and water.
- Drying: Gently reshape the bristles and allow the brush to air dry, bristle-end up, to prevent moisture from settling in the ferrule. Avoid placing it bristle-down on surfaces.
- Storage: Store the brush in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, consider using a vapour box to maintain bristle shape and condition. Ensure bristles are not pressed flat against other objects.
