Troubleshooting

Foam does not expand properly.

Ensure the can has been shaken well, the temperature is within the recommended range, and the surface is adequately prepared.

Foam gun clogs.

Clean the foam gun immediately after use with a foam gun cleaner. Do not leave the can attached to the gun for extended periods.

Foam expands too much.

Apply in thin layers and allow each layer to expand before adding more. Avoid overfilling the gaps.

Poor adhesion.

Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. Consider priming highly non-porous surfaces.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

  1. Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, and loose particles. Protect surrounding areas from overspray.
  2. Gun Attachment: Attach the can of Soudafoam FR to a compatible foam gun.
  3. Application: Shake the can vigorously for at least 20 seconds. Apply the foam in layers, allowing each layer to expand before applying the next. Avoid overfilling, as the foam will expand significantly.
  4. Curing: Allow the foam to fully cure according to the manufacturer's instructions (usually a few hours). Curing time depends on temperature and humidity.
  5. Trimming: Once cured, trim away any excess foam with a knife.
  6. Compatibility: The product is compatible with most common construction materials but always test on a small area first.
  7. Care: Store cans in an upright position in a cool, dry place. Protect from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
