Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon arrival, your Parlour Palm will be approximately 30cm tall and ready for its new home. The plant comes in a 9cm pot with protective packaging designed for safe transit. Allow the plant some time to settle and acclimate after delivery.
Placement: Position your Parlour Palm in a spot that receives bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.
Soil: Use a good quality, well-draining potting compost. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season (late spring to late summer). Allow excess water to drain away freely. In winter, reduce watering and keep the soil drier.
Humidity: Mist the leaves regularly with water to help maintain humidity, especially in dry indoor environments.
Feeding: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer from late spring through late summer.
Winter Care: Keep the plant indoors and avoid temperatures dipping below 10°C.
Potting: To repot, choose a pot cover that fits the 9cm nursery pot. Eventually, as the plant grows (eventual height 2m-4m), you may need to repot into a larger container.
