Product Information
Full details
The VICULII Cot Mattress (120 x 60 cm) is designed for parents seeking a firm, supportive, and hypoallergenic sleep surface for their baby. Its key benefit lies in the combination of natural coir and breathable ECO fibre, promoting excellent airflow and reducing heat build-up for a comfortable and healthy sleep environment. A potential caveat for some users might be the firmness, which is intentional for support but may differ from softer mattress preferences. This mattress features a triple-layer, washable cover with a water-repellent layer and a core that balances support with breathability.

FAQs
What are the main materials used in this mattress?
The mattress core is made from breathable ECO fibre and reinforced with natural coir. The cover is a triple-layer design featuring bamboo knit and plush polyester.
Is this mattress suitable for babies with allergies?
Yes, the materials are naturally hypoallergenic, making it ideal for babies with sensitive skin or prone to allergies.
How do I wash the mattress cover?
The cover can be removed using the extended zip and is machine washable at 40°C. It can be tumble dried on a low setting or line dried.
What is the purpose of the coir layer?
The coir layer, made from natural coconut fibers, provides firm, flat, and evenly supportive sleep surface while allowing excellent airflow.
Does the mattress help regulate my baby's temperature?
Yes, the breathable ECO fibre core and overall design promote air circulation, helping to reduce heat build-up and maintain a comfortable sleeping temperature.
What are the dimensions of the mattress?
The dimensions are 120 x 60 cm, suitable for standard European cot beds.
Is the mattress waterproof?
The mattress features a water-repellent Aqua Protector layer on the cover, which protects against small spills. However, it is not fully waterproof, and significant spills should be cleaned promptly.
Troubleshooting
Mattress has a slight odor upon arrival.
This is normal due to the natural materials. Air the mattress out in a well-ventilated room for 24-48 hours before use. The odor should dissipate.
Cover is difficult to remove.
Ensure the extended zip is fully located and pulled carefully. Check for any obstructions around the zip. The zipper is designed for secure closure.
Water-repellent layer seems less effective after washing.
The water-repellent properties may slightly diminish over many washes. Ensure the cover is correctly replaced and fitted after drying. For significant spills, prompt cleaning is still recommended.
Mattress feels too firm for preference.
The firmness is a design feature for optimal infant support. If still too firm after a settling-in period, consider a thin, breathable mattress topper specifically designed for babies, ensuring it does not compromise safety or create suffocation hazards.
