Dechra Specific CRD-1 Weight Reduction is a nutritionally balanced dry food formulated for pets that require professional-grade support for healthy weight loss and long-term weight maintenance. Designed for owners whose pets struggle with obesity or weight management, this diet uses high fiber and controlled energy density to ensure your pet remains satisfied while reducing their overall caloric intake; however, it is a clinical diet, so it should only be introduced under the guidance of a veterinarian to ensure it meets your specific pet's metabolic needs.

Consult your veterinarian. If treats are allowed, they must be deducted from the total daily caloric intake to ensure the diet remains effective.
Your pet should remain on CRD-1 until their target body weight is achieved, or as long as your veterinarian recommends for weight maintenance.
No, this is a weight reduction diet and does not contain the calorie density required for growing animals.
Yes, but consult your veterinarian first to ensure the wet food is compatible and that you are maintaining the correct total daily calorie count.
High fiber provides bulk to the diet, which helps the pet feel full and satisfied while eating fewer calories.
Ensure the transition was gradual over 7 days. If the pet still refuses, try warming the food slightly with a small amount of warm water or consult your veterinarian.
Consult your veterinarian to recalculate daily feeding portions; caloric needs can change as the pet loses weight.
To start using CRD-1, consult your veterinarian to determine the precise daily ration based on your pet's current weight and target weight goal. When introducing the food, follow a gradual transition process: mix a small amount of the new food with the current diet, slowly increasing the ratio over one week to avoid digestive upset. Always provide access to fresh water. Store the bag in a cool, dry place and keep it sealed between feedings to preserve the freshness and palatability of the ingredients.
