The Taylor Pro Digital Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer offers a safe and hygienic method for instant, accurate temperature readings. Utilizing infrared technology, this thermometer minimizes the risk of cross-contamination as it does not require contact with the item being measured. With a simple squeeze of the trigger, it provides immediate readings ranging from -45°C to 400°C (-49°F to 752°F). This makes it ideal for liquids where precise temperatures are crucial, such as caramel, melted chocolate, sauces, syrups, and soups. It can also be used to gauge the heat of cooking surfaces like woks, pans, and griddles for frying, searing, and sautéing, thereby reducing the chance of scalds and burns. The thermometer requires 2x AAA batteries (not supplied) and measures 10cm x 4cm x 15cm. It features a crystal clear digital display with a 'hold' function for quick, easy-to-read results. The Taylor Pro Infrared Kitchen thermometer comes with a 5-year guarantee.
