FAQs

What tools do I need?

You will need a measuring tape, saw, adhesive or pins, a level, caulk, paint, paint brushes/rollers, and safety glasses.

Can I use this kit in a bathroom?

Yes, but ensure the panels are well-sealed and painted with moisture-resistant paint.

What type of paint should I use?

Use a good quality interior paint suitable for wood. Consider using a satin or eggshell finish for durability.

How do I cut the mouldings?

Use a fine-tooth saw, such as a mitre saw, to ensure clean cuts. Measure twice, cut once.

What if the panels are too long for my wall?

Cut the panels to the correct size using a saw. Ensure accurate measurements for a professional finish.

Can I remove the panels after installation?

Removing the panels may damage the wall. Consider this before installation and use appropriate adhesives.

What is the dado rail for?

The dado rail adds a decorative element and provides a visual break between the panels and the wall above.

Troubleshooting

Panels are not adhering properly.

Ensure the wall surface is clean and dry. Use an appropriate adhesive and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Consider using additional pins for extra support.

Gaps between panels or mouldings.

Use caulk to fill the gaps. Allow the caulk to dry completely before painting.

Paint finish is uneven.

Ensure the panels are properly primed. Apply multiple thin coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
