Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Slices in Gravy is a dietetic pet food specifically formulated for cats suffering from acute or chronic digestive issues such as diarrhea, gastritis, or maldigestion. The key benefit is its highly digestible composition, which aids in nutritional restoration and convalescence while easing the digestive workload; however, owners must note that this is a specialized medical diet and should only be used under the direct guidance and prescription of a veterinarian.

Yes, Royal Canin Gastrointestinal is a veterinary-exclusive diet and requires a prescription from your veterinarian.
No, this is a therapeutic diet meant specifically for cats with digestive health conditions. It is not balanced for long-term maintenance of healthy, adult cats.
The duration depends on your cat's specific health issue. Follow the timeline provided by your veterinarian, ranging from a few weeks for acute cases to long-term for chronic conditions.
This formula is designed for adult cats. Please consult your veterinarian if you have a kitten with digestive issues to ensure the nutritional content is appropriate for their growth stage.
Yes, but it is recommended to use the dry version of the Royal Canin Gastrointestinal range and consult your vet for the correct mixed-feeding ratios.
Try warming the food slightly to release aromas or consult your vet about palatability enhancers.
Contact your veterinarian immediately to assess if a different medical intervention is required.
Feed smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day and consult your vet regarding the feeding schedule.
Before starting this diet, consult your veterinarian to determine the appropriate portion size based on your cat's current weight and clinical needs. The food should be served at room temperature to maximize aroma and flavor, which helps stimulate the appetite of recovering cats. Ensure fresh water is always available, as hydration is critical for cats with diarrhea. Keep individual pouches in a cool, dry place. Once a pouch is opened, it should be covered and refrigerated; use within 24 hours for maximum safety and quality.
