Select the drill bit size that corresponds to the size of the hole you need to create. For example, if you need a hole for a screw, choose a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw's outer diameter.

Clean the bits after each use and store them properly. If they become dull, sharpen them or replace them.

HSS stands for High-Speed Steel, a durable material commonly used for drill bits due to its ability to maintain its hardness at high temperatures.

Check the drill bit for dullness. Replace the drill bit or sharpen it if possible. Ensure you are using the correct speed and pressure for the material.

Reduce the drilling speed and pressure. Ensure you are using the correct size bit for the material. Avoid excessive force.

Ensure the drill is perpendicular to the material's surface. Use a center punch to create a starting point for the drill bit.
