The Piper Runner is an ideal choice for homeowners looking to elevate their hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms with a blend of modern sophistication and timeless design. Featuring a cream base with a bold striped border, this hand-tufted runner provides a soft, luxurious feel underfoot thanks to its 20mm pile height. FAQs

Can I use this rug on top of carpet?

Yes, it can be used on top of carpet, though a rug pad is recommended to prevent creeping.

Is the Piper Runner suitable for hallways?

Yes, its 67cm width is specifically designed to fit standard hallways and narrow transitional spaces.

How do I remove a spill from the cream fabric?

Blot the area gently with a white cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.

Will the latex backing damage my wood floors?

The backing is designed to be floor-friendly, but we recommend periodic lifting to ensure no moisture build-up occurs underneath.

Can this rug be placed in a bathroom?

It is not recommended for bathrooms or high-moisture environments as the natural cotton and tufted fibers may absorb excess dampness.

Troubleshooting

The rug edges are curling

Place heavy books or furniture on the corners for 24-48 hours to help the fibers relax and lay flat.

Loose fibers or shedding

This is normal for new hand-tufted rugs; vacuum with a suction-only attachment and shedding will decrease over time.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Soft and plush 20mm pile height for superior comfort
Sophisticated aesthetic with a unique cut and loop pile texture
Reinforced backing prevents sliding on most surfaces
Safe and efficient for use with underfloor heating systems

Cons

Cream color is susceptible to visible stains in high-traffic areas
Requires professional cleaning or careful spot cleaning to maintain the texture
Not machine washable

Setup, Compatibility & Care

For the best results, lay the runner flat upon arrival and allow it to settle for 24 hours to remove any creases from transit. It is compatible with most hard floors, including wood and tile. To maintain the runner's appearance:

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting to avoid damaging the loop pile.
Rotate the rug every few months to ensure even wear across the surface.
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub as this may push particles deeper into the pile.
For deep stains, seek professional rug cleaning services to protect the hand-tufted fibers.
