Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Determine the optimal mounting location for impact absorption.
- Align the buffer, ensuring the two pre-drilled holes are accessible on the mounting surface.
- Mark the hole positions.
- Drill pilot holes if necessary, depending on the mounting surface material.
- Secure the buffer using appropriate screws or bolts (not included) for the specific application. Ensure a tight fit to maximize stability.
Compatibility:
These buffers are compatible with a wide range of surfaces including metal, wood, and sturdy plastics commonly found on trucks, trailers, horse boxes, motor homes, and industrial doors. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound to support the buffer and withstand impacts.
Care:
Clean the rubber buffers periodically with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Mild soap can be used for tougher grime. Avoid using harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners, as these can degrade the synthetic rubber. Inspect regularly for signs of wear and tear and replace if significantly damaged to maintain optimal performance.
