Troubleshooting

Drawer sticking or not closing smoothly.

Check for any obstructions inside the drawer runners. Ensure the sideboard is level. Occasionally, applying a small amount of wax to the drawer runners can help.

Cupboard door alignment is off.

Check if the sideboard is level. The hinges may require minor adjustment; consult the manufacturer's specific instructions if available, or a handyman for delicate adjustments.

Surface appears dull or lacks shine.

This indicates the wax finish may need refreshing. Clean the surface thoroughly and apply a light coat of furniture wax suitable for oak, buffing gently.

Minor scratches or scuffs on the surface.

For minor surface scratches, a furniture repair crayon or a wax stick matching the oak color can often be used to fill and camouflage the imperfection. For deeper scratches, professional refinishing may be required.
