The BG Electrical Screwless Flatplate double socket (FBN22UAC45B-01) is designed for modern homeowners and professionals seeking a high-performance, minimalist power solution. This unit provides the utility of two standard power outlets alongside integrated 45W Type A and C USB charging ports, delivering intelligent power delivery that protects connected devices from overcharging. While it offers a sleek, screwless aesthetic that complements contemporary interiors, users should note that the slim profile requires a standard deep wall box for adequate wiring clearance during installation.

Yes, standard UK wiring including line, neutral, and earth is required for both the AC sockets and the USB charging circuitry.
Yes, you can use both the Type A and Type C ports simultaneously, though the 45W total power will be distributed between the connected devices.
It fits standard double wall boxes, but a deep box (35mm+) is recommended to accommodate the rear electronic housing.
There is a small notch on the underside of the plate. Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the plate away from the base unit.
This product comes with a 10-year guarantee from BG Electrical covering defects in material and workmanship.
Check that the mains power is switched on and that the device cable is firmly inserted. Ensure the cable itself is functional by testing it with another charger.
Check that the internal wiring is pushed far enough back into the wall box and that the socket itself is mounted level and tightened securely.
The 45W total power is shared across ports. If multiple devices are charging, the unit will distribute power intelligently. Unplug the second device to restore maximum wattage to the primary device.
Installation requires standard UK electrical wiring practices. Ensure the mains power is isolated at the consumer unit before beginning work. The unit is designed to fit into standard back boxes, but because of the integrated charging circuitry, a minimum depth of 35mm to 47mm is highly recommended to avoid kinking the wires. To clean the screwless frontplate, use only a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. For the clip-on cover, use a small flat-head screwdriver in the designated slot to gently pry the plate off if you ever need access to the mounting screws.
