Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation of Formica laminate worktops typically requires professional fitting or experienced DIY skills. The worktop needs to be cut to size using a sharp, fine-toothed saw, and edges should be finished with appropriate laminate edging strips if necessary. Ensure all cut edges are sealed to prevent moisture ingress.
Compatibility:
- This worktop is designed for kitchen use and can be integrated with standard cabinetry.
- It is compatible with most sinks and hobs, but follow manufacturer guidelines for cut-outs.
- Consider coordinating with matching or complementary upstands and splashbacks from the Formica Originals Collection.
Care:
- Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that can damage the surface.
- Always use a cutting board when chopping food.
- Use trivets or heat-resistant mats under hot pots, pans, and electrical appliances.
- Wipe dry after cleaning to prevent water spots.
