This tube cutter is generally suitable for copper, aluminum, and thin-walled steel pipes within its specified size range. Always refer to the product specifications for exact compatibility.
For best results, ensure the pipe is held firmly, the cutting wheel is sharp and clean, and you apply steady, even pressure while rotating the tool. Avoid forcing the cut.
Replace the cutting wheel when you notice it becoming dull, resulting in rough cuts, or if it appears chipped or damaged. A sharp wheel is crucial for clean cuts and ease of use.
Please refer to the product's specific details or packaging for the exact maximum and minimum pipe diameter capacity of this model.
Store the tube cutter in a dry environment. Lightly oiling the metal parts can help prevent rust, especially if stored for extended periods.
This tool is typically designed for softer metals and thin-walled pipes. It may not be effective or suitable for cutting very hard materials like cast iron.
Ensure the pipe is securely clamped and the tool is advanced steadily. Check if the cutting wheel is sharp and free of debris. Make sure the tool is properly aligned perpendicular to the pipe.
Verify that the pipe diameter is within the tool's capacity. Apply consistent, firm pressure. If the wheel is dull, consider replacing it.
Check that all adjustment screws and locking mechanisms are tightened appropriately. Ensure the cutting wheel is securely mounted.
Setup: Before initial use, ensure the cutting wheel is clean and free of debris. Adjust the cutting mechanism by turning the handle to accommodate the desired pipe diameter.
Compatibility: This tool is designed for cutting various types of pipes, including copper, aluminum, and thin-walled steel, within its specified size range. Always check the tool's specifications for maximum and minimum pipe diameters.
Care: After each use, wipe the cutter clean with a dry cloth. Periodically check the cutting wheel for sharpness and clean any residue. For long-term storage, apply a light coating of oil to metal parts to prevent rust. Store in a dry place.
