No, the Pontec MultiClear 8000 is a filter-only system. We recommend the Pontec Pondovario 3500 for optimal performance.
Frequency depends on your fish load and pond environment. Monitor the flow rate and clean them when you notice a significant drop in output.
No, the UVC bulb is considered a consumable component and is excluded from the two-year manufacturer guarantee.
Yes, but please note the capacity drops to 2,000 litres when keeping koi due to their high waste production.
Tap water often contains chlorine or chloramines, which will kill the beneficial bacteria living in your filter sponges that keep your pond ecosystem healthy.
Check if the UVC bulb is functioning and not past its 8,000-hour lifespan. Also, ensure flow rates are not exceeding the maximum recommended capacity.
Inspect the filter sponges for clogs and clean them gently with pond water. Check the pump intake for debris.
Verify that all hose connections are tight and that the O-ring seals are properly seated and undamaged.
Installation is straightforward: place the filter on a level, stable surface at the edge of your pond, ensuring the outlet returns water directly to the pond via gravity. Always ensure the unit is positioned above the water level so that it cannot be submerged.
