Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before beginning installation, ensure that you have isolated the hot and cold water supplies to the kitchen tap to prevent flooding.
- Use a soft cloth to protect the tap finish while removing the handle screw covers.
- Utilize a hex key to loosen the handle and remove it from the cartridge stem.
- Unscrew the decorative shroud and use an adjustable spanner to remove the old valve.
- Clean any residual lime scale from the tap housing before inserting the new 3540R cartridge.
- Tighten the cartridge firmly, but avoid overtightening to prevent damaging the internal seals.
Care Tip: To maximize the life of your new cartridges, ensure that aerator screens are kept free of mineral debris, which can cause backpressure and lead to premature seal failure.
