Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This is a quartz watch, so initial setup primarily involves setting the correct time and date. The crown typically has multiple positions: one for winding (if applicable, though quartz watches don't require winding) and two for setting. Pull the crown out to the first click to set the date and to the second click to set the time. Always ensure the crown is pushed back in securely to maintain water resistance.
Compatibility:
As a watch, it is universally compatible for wearing on the wrist. The leather strap is designed for standard watch cases, and replacements of similar size and lug width can be fitted if desired.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the stainless steel case and mineral crystal with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Clean the leather strap with a leather conditioner specifically designed for watch straps, ensuring it is dry before storing.
- Water Resistance: While rated for 100m, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged. Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine. Professional servicing, including gasket checks, is recommended periodically (e.g., every 2-3 years) to maintain water resistance.
- Strap Care: Allow the leather strap to dry naturally if it becomes wet. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can fade or damage the leather.
